Display Banner Production Trends

This year will be a big year for digital display and banner production. Here are 4 trends to watch out for.

Responsive Display Advertising

90% of our web browsing is now done on mobile.  As we all know there are many different smart phone sizes and these all need to be catered for, so to help with this we can now use HTML5 responsive banners. HTML5 banner are used across a number of formats and scale to fit. much like modern websites and apps. The features of responsive ad formats were very limited last year due to do the complexity of making them work on every screen. However 2015 will make these banners much easier to make.

Battle for HTML5 ad platforms

As mentioned in the last part HTML5 banners can be tricky, but new HTML5 banner production services are battling to be become the market leader. Most banners used to be made in Adobe Flash, but the market was thrown open with removal of Flash from mobile phones. New services aiming to make HTML5 banners better include:

http://html5maker.com

These platforms although good do not allow as much customisation as allowed in Flash. Only time will tell which becomes the market leader. If you are looking for more customisation it’s possible to use Flash html5 export. Flash HTML5 export is good because it works on the majority of mobile devices.

Birth of the Rich Media HTML5 ads.

Flash banners used to be very rich and HTML5 has failed to deliver so far. However this will changed now and we expect only to see better ads built in HTML5.

Personalisation and dynamic data

We all know that personalisation is a big part of advertising. This year we’ll see an increase in geolocation, live data and social media stream integration. Advertisers are also seeing the benefit of using retargeting campaigns which allows users to see display ads once that they have left a particular site. The web will follow customers around!

How Can I Reactivate My Seller Account After Suspension?

You can choose to downgrade your account from a Professional selling plan to an Individual selling plan, if you don’t want to be charged a monthly subscription fee. For more information, see selling plans. To downgrade your account to an Individual selling plan, click Switch to Individual selling plan below. If you choose to close your account, click Request account closure below. You can also go to Settings, choose Account Info and click Close Account, to request account closure. You will then receive a confirmation email once your account has been closed, or an email detailing why your account can’t be closed at this time and additional steps required.

However, before you choose to permanently close your seller account, we urge you to read the following.

Suspend your listings

  • To temporarily suspend your listings, see Listings status.
  • To remove all your listings and keep your Reactivate Amazon Seller Account for future use, see Stop selling a product.

Steps to take before closing your seller account

If you decide to permanently close your account, follow these steps:

  1. Fulfill any outstanding orders.
  2. Wait 90 days after your last sale to ensure the A-to-z Guarantee claims period is honored.
  3. Wait until you have a zero balance in your account (your next disbursement or charge date).
  4. Resolve all of your transactions with buyers, including issuing any necessary refunds.
  5. Confirm that you have valid bank account information on file to receive a final payment.

What will happen if I close my account?

If you choose to permanently close your seller account, read the following information first:

  • If you have a North America Unified Account and you close your seller account, all of your other eligible accounts will be shut down at the same time. For example, if you close your United States account, you’re Canada and Mexico accounts will also be closed. The simplest way to tell if you have a North America Unified Account is to check whether the marketplace switcher is available in the header of your seller account. To learn more, see North America Unified Account FAQ.
  • If you are enrolled in tax calculation services, view the Downgrade / Upgrade and Tax Calculation Service page for important information prior to closing your account.
  • Once you close your seller account, you will no longer have access to it. You can’t view order history, process returns, issue refunds, respond to A-to-z Guarantee claims, or communicate with buyers.
  • Accounts cannot be closed until 90 days after your last sale. This guarantees that the A-to-z Guarantee claim period is honored. If you have any open A-to-z Guarantee claims, your account must remain open until they’re settled. Your account balance must be zero before your account can be closed.

Get a Truck and a 12V portable Air Compressor

Trucks are loved by thousands, no, millions of people all over America. In fact, it cannot be denied that trucks are the best-selling vehicles in the United States. They are not only loved, but also trusted by their loyal drivers.

And why shouldn’t they be? Trucks have inspired men and women for a very long time. They have come a long way as well, starting off as a strictly utilitarian vehicle with marginal luxuries to what they have evolved to today.

Back in the day, your truck came with a bench seat and heat, you were lucky if the thing had a radio in it. They were stiff and uncomfortable and looked only good enough to get people to buy them for the farm or factory as they were mainly working vehicles.

Today’s pickup trucks have all of the same luxuries as luxury cars like Mercedes and BMW and hold the same technological features like GPS, backup cameras and heated seats. Just throw your 12v air compressor in the back and you can go four-wheeling in style.

Here are a few reasons you need to buy a truck. For those who already own a truck, these are just reinforcement.

They are Powerful

Regardless of what you want to do with your tire inflator with gauge, haul a boat, pull a tree stump or carry a load of gravel, you can do it because they pack a whole lot of power. Good luck towing a boat with a Hyundai Elantra.

The top high-horsepower trucks range from 360hp to 440hp that is a whole lot of muscle.

You Can Tow Stuff

tire inflator with gauge

Like we just said, your truck is powerful and can tow whatever you need. If you are not the boating type, then buy a camper and tow it with your truck.

If you use your truck for work, you can tow a trailer and load it down however you need. Hauling is a good way to get stuff done.

Lots of Room

Compact cars have become sub-compact cars and leg room and cargo space have been further compromised. This isn’t the case when it comes to many pickup trucks.

In several newer trucks, cabs have increased in size as has payload, which means you can haul more stuff and stretch your legs while doing so. There is no need suffering squished legs and lack of cargo space driving a Mini Coop when a truck gives you all the space you require.

See Better

The view is also better from the highest point. When you drive a truck, you sit above most everybody else, which gives you a better view of the world.

You will hold the ability to speak off the road when you see a traffic jam up ahead and get a better view of the traffic at the intersection you are attempting to traverse. Because you can see everything, your ride is safer.

Safety

Speaking of safety, your truck will offer a whole lot more safety features than just giving you a better view. Modern trucks are equipped with airbags throughout the cab, side impact protection, stability control and improved seat belt systems.

Ib fact, truck manufacturers are gleam improving on their safety features. A safe driver is a happy driver.

Looking Good

A truck is much more than just a mode of transportation; it is a mode of transportation that looks good. Forget the trucks of old and their stiff and ridged look, modern trucks are a sight for sore eyes.

Modern trucks are expertly designed to be aesthetically pleasing. Like luxury cars, they have wonderful curves and shiny bumpers that gleam in the sunlight.

So when you take the family up to the mountains to do some trail hopping, you will look great doing so.

Getting There in Rough Weather

Most trucks are well-equipped for driving in the snow. And while driving in the snow is probably the furthest thing from your mind in June, it will get you hard enough come December when you can’t get your Hyundai Elantra out of your driveway to get to work.

You will just do what you always do and call your friend to take you to work. The friend of yours with a nice pickup truck.

About the Plastic Injection Moulders

It appears we’re not the only ones excited about securing our latest contract for Australia Post’s new letter trays, with the Herald Sun publishing the success story last week, titled – “Sneddon & Kingston Plastics is changing at full throttle.”

The article quite rightly describes the 800,000 recyclable trays and 100,000 lids for Australia Post’s new mail sorting machinery as the largest contract in our company’s history – and depicts a rare feel-good story in the current Australian manufacturing climate.

An area often dominated by hard-luck stories about the dominance of cheap offshore suppliers and the downfall of the nation’s automotive industry… it’s certainly nice to hear some positive news regarding plastic injection moulders, and here at Sneddon & Kingston Plastics we are extremely proud to be the subject matter of this success story.

As touched on in the Herald Sun’s article, we contribute this ‘against-the-grain’ contract success to our ongoing focus on innovation and adaptability. Being formally engaged in contract moulding services for the automotive industry, we were forced to adapt a few years ago when it became evident the automotive supply chain would not survive in this country. We invested in advanced automation and decoration technology, developed advanced plastic injection moulding services, and established a packaging process called “In Mould Labelling”, making it possible to work on more complex, specialised and short lead-time projects.

In Mould Labelling uses high precision automation equipment to place labels in the mould, becoming one with the moulded tray. This creates high quality and cost effective branding on products, which satisfied the Australia Post’s requirements perfectly.

Advanced technologies also helped us to develop our own product range of containers used mainly in the food industry, and whilst we see the packaging industry as our long-term direction, contract moulding work such as the Australia Post mail bins ensures we retain the skills we have developed, and provides a huge boost in ensuring our survival in the current environment.

To echo the words of our General Manager and third generation SK Plastics employee, Blair Sinsheimer:

“In an environment where companies are turning to foreign suppliers for goods, it’s great to have the support from one of Australia’s most trusted and recognised brands… We applaud Australia Post for keeping this work within Australia”.

We are on track to deliver the last of the new recyclable trays at the end of October, a move that will see the phasing out of the iconic white Australia Post boxes.

Moving Companies in Edmonton

Whether you are moving a piano, stove, or refrigerator, or moving your entire household, moving can be an ordeal or it can be as easy as picking from the moving companies Edmonton has to offer. Helping Hands Family Movers is one of the best appliance movers Edmonton has and is always available for moving single bulky items like the piano you just bought at an estate sale. For mini movers, Edmonton has no better than Helping Hands Family Movers. And, for long distance moving companies, talk to us at Helping Hands Family Movers. We can manage your move across town or anywhere in the province of Alberta. Of the moving companies Edmonton offers, one stands out for integrity, reliability, excellent service, and fair prices. Choose the company with an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau for their track record of safeguarding client belongings and personal information, honest business dealings, and trust in the Edmonton community. Choose from the best moving companies Edmonton offers, Helping Hands Family Moving. If you are getting ready for a move, here are some thoughts about what you need and what you need to do.

Getting Ready for a Move

Before even choosing from the affordable moving companies Edmonton has, there are a few things to do that will make the whole process go a lot smoother.

Clean House

Before any home moves, Edmonton residents should start the process by cleaning the house. A good friend of ours retired from military service and was moved back from Europe where he had been stationed with NATO. The German moving company applied their usual Teutonic thoroughness in packing up everything, including the trash under the kitchen sink, and made sure it was delivered with everything else to his new home in Edmonton!

The point of this little example is that you do not want to pay for moving things that you will probably throw away next year anyway. If they clean house before home moves Edmonton homeowners not only save on moving expenses but arrive at their new home with a lot less clutter weighing them down! Before looking for moving companies Edmonton homeowners need to host a garage sale make a few trips to donate things to a local charity.

Organize

Starting at least two months before moving, make a list including all subscriptions, organizations, and people who should be notified of your move. Get a change of address form from the postal service. Make sure that your bank, insurance agent, doctor, veterinarian, friends, and family all know when you are moving and your new address.

Cancelling and Reordering

Another list you should make will include providers of utilities and other services such as your gas, electric, water, internet, cable, and telephone providers. Make sure to include services such as window cleaning, lawn care, and pest control so that you will not continue paying for services at your soon-to-be old address.

Labeling and the Essentials Box

As the move draws near, take the time to segregate important things that you will need right away, do not want out of your sight, or are of such monetary or sentimental value that you want to take them by hand to your new home. Everything that you pack before the movers show up should be accurately labeled. Otherwise, you will spend hours on the receiving end looking through every box for a single necessary item. An “essentials box” should be packed and set aside before the movers arrive to start their packing. And you need to make sure to tell the movers to put that box where you can easily find it in your new home!

Essentials Box

  • Map of the new area
  • Medications and eyeglasses
  • Aspirin or pain reliever
  • Toilet paper
  • Toiletries (soap, shampoo, razors, etc.)
  • Snacks
  • Disposable plates, cups, and eating utensils
  • Coffee maker or instant coffee and tea
  • Box cutter or knife
  • Alarm clock
  • Extension cords and batteries
  • Bedding and linens
  • Change of clothes
  • First-aid kit
  • Basic cleaning supplies and paper towels
  • Flashlights
  • Garbage bags
  • Plastic trash bags
  • Work gloves
  • Scissors
  • Screwdriver and hammer
  • Light bulbs
  • Pet supplies
  • Toys and games for the kids
  • Shower curtain and towels
  • Tape and dispenser

Things Not to Pack

The moving companies Edmonton has will not pack and move certain items. These include combustibles like lighter fluid, gasoline, paint thinner or pesticides. For a short move across town, you can take these in your car (with the windows rolled down) or make a gift of them to your neighbor.

Selecting from the Moving Companies Edmonton Offers

As you are organizing, getting rid of junk, and making sure that your mail will be forwarded to your new address, you should start thinking about the affordable moving companies Edmonton has, the long distance moving companies Edmonton offers, or the mini movers Edmonton lists, all depending on the nature of your move. Check around and you will find out who does just does just local moves and who the long distance moving companies are. Make a short list and then focus on finding someone who is available when you need them, who will be easier to work with, who are the affordable moving companies Edmonton has for your kind of move, and who will come out and give you a written estimate of what the move will cost.

Helping Hands Family Movers Are Your Best Choice

At Helping Hand Family Movers we have been moving families and businesses in the Edmonton area and throughout all of Alberta for a decade. Our high level of service has given us a strong reputation that brings more business to our door. If you would like references from past customers we are happy to supply them. We have an A+ Rating from the Better Business Bureau based on our honest dealings and integrity. Of the appliance movers Edmonton has to offer, the long distance moving companies, and the most affordable moving companies Edmonton boasts, we will always be your best choice to get the job done on time, without fuss, and at a fair price.

Moving Help in Edmonton

There may have been a time when everything you owned could fit in a small suitcase, but as the years have gone by, that is no longer the case. You need moving help to get your things from your current home to your next place of residence. You would like a same day moving company and reasonable moving services with a fair price, timely service, and folks who take care of your belongings on the move. Of the moving companies Edmonton has, some focus on small local moves but the top movers Edmonton offers will move your things to anywhere in the province of Alberta. Getting moving help in Edmonton no longer involves talking your friends into helping you lug things down one set of stairs and up the other and buying them a case of Molson afterward. It means getting moving help from the likes of Helping Hand Family Movers, one of the top Edmonton movers.

Before Looking for Moving Help in Edmonton

Moving can be a difficult time but a little thought and preparation will make things much easier. When you decide that you are going to move, decide what you will take with you. Throw away any junk, give away or sell anything that you do not want or use but which is usable or of value. Give things to a charity. If you have old appliances and are planning on buying new appliances for your new home, do not pay to move what you have unless it is to dispose of really old ones that no longer work. Not only will this house cleaning make your life simpler and easier but it will reduce the cost of your move as well.

And, let your friends and family know when you are moving and your new address. If this entails a new phone number for your landline, let them know that as well. Go through your list of whom you pay subscriptions to and who you pay bills to and make sure to change mailing addresses at the appropriate time. Cancel services like your internet and cable and renew them at your new address. These are tasks that tend to be put off until you are in the midst of setting up for your move or they tend to be forgotten. If any of your close friends or family offers moving help, this is a task that you might want to delegate to someone who is well organized.

Finding Moving Help in Edmonton

When looking for reasonable moving services at a good price, many Alberta moving companies may qualify. But, as you think about your precise requirements, the list may become shorter. For example, if you want office movers Edmonton may not have as many who are able to take on a large job from start to finish. Most folks want a same day moving company unless it is such a long distance move that the mover will pack up one day, drive all night, and deliver to your new home the next day. You will want to talk to Edmonton movers like Helping Hands Family Movers who will do such a moving task in the most time-efficient and cost-efficient manner.

Moving help should be helpful and not a chore. At Helping Hands Family Movers we will respect you and your belongings. We are friendly and easy to deal with. When you come to us for a move, we will give you a written estimate of what the move will cost, offer useful suggestions for you to make your move easier, cheaper, and less time-consuming. And, our A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau speaks for itself in attesting to our honesty, integrity, and honest dealings.

Things We Will Move and Things You Should Carry with You

First of all, none of the reputable Edmonton movers will transport flammables like lighter fluid or gasoline or things like pesticides. Plan to give these to a neighbor or (carefully) take them with you if your move is just across the city.

Next, no matter how good moving help or the insurance of the mover is, you do not want to send personal valuables like grandma’s antique diamond ring, priceless family heirlooms, or your medicines with the mover. If you have valuable artwork it should be dealt with separately to make sure that it is identified, insured, and properly protected.

Choose Helping Hands Family Movers for the Best Moving Help

When you choose Helping Hands Family Movers as a same day moving company or from a list of Alberta moving companies, you will get personal, friendly, trouble-free, professional moving service. For office movers Edmonton does not do any better. We offer reasonable moving services and all sorts of moving help along the way. For an estimate of what it will cost you, call us for moving help today.

Summary

If you need moving help in Edmonton or anywhere in Alberta, contact Helping Hands Family Movers. For appliance moving, office moves, or long distance moves elsewhere in the province, we provide excellent, professional moving services and low rates.

Energy Storage, Smart Grids Help Drive Cheap Electricity Rates

An increasingly important trend in the energy field these days is energy storage. It’s not just a means by which bigger users can hedge their bets on usage and costs, leading to cheap electricity rates. It’s also a way to balance out the instability in the renewables that have a growing role in the energy mix.

It’s all tied in to the utility grid and the need to maintain an efficient flow of power. In order to meet peak demand, supply and demand must be steady.

Most grids don’t currently store energy because of the cost. Instead, balance is provided by additional fossil fuel-burning plants ramping up or down as needed. Here’s the problem with that, though. Since these plants don’t run consistently at full power, which is when they’re most efficient, they add to our pollution problem – even more than the plants that meet the utility’s base-load energy demands.

Increasingly, we’re turning to create smart – Internet of Things-driven – energy grids that optimize the conservation and delivery of power. By 2030, according to the non-profit Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative, this will improve the efficiency of our current system by 9 percent, saving some 400 billion kilowatt hours annually. Energy storage, such as grid and distributed solutions and battery systems, is a key component of this smart system.

The evolution of the smart grid and energy storage systems has micro and macro implications.

First, look at the local impact on the electricity cost burden of Ontario businesses. Our increases have been over three times greater than what businesses in other provinces have experienced. It’s a function of the Global Adjustment (GA) charge, which covers utilities’ costs of providing adequate generating capacity and conservation programs.

Ontario’s Industrial Conservation Initiative provides a solution for better control over those GA charges to capture cheap electricity rates. The catch is that it requires predicting when your electricity peak demand is likely to occur and temporarily reducing it for that period – without upending your operations.

This is where an intelligent energy storage solution comes in. Active Business Services reviews informed by usage trend data on the Ontario grid, it’s a means for transferring your building’s load onto the system during times when peak usage is expected. You’ll lower what you add to peak demand and accordingly see a sharp drop in your GA rate.

From a macro perspective, it’s important to look at the growth in renewables, like solar and wind energy. They’re increasingly deployed as cost competitive solutions, but have drawbacks. The sun doesn’t always shine. Wind conditions aren’t always consistent. Yet as we depend more on these resources, we are asking more of our grid, which needs to be more flexible to adjust.

This is where energy storage has an important role in meeting the need to balance the fluctuating and often unpredictable supply and demand. California, for example, passed the first energy storage mandate in the U.S. in 2010. It’s designed to provide frequency regulation on the grid and help stabilize it for solar and wind energy fluctuations. It can also accommodate weather-related demand peaks and provide backup power if it’s lost on the grid. It can also save everyone money on expanding transmission lines and infrastructure.

Energy storage is a work in progress. But as the market expands and matures and the promise of the smart grid becomes a reality, it’s going to help solve many of the issues we face with our power.
